| Arthur, Bran of Dyfed (Arthur, King of Time and Space space arc). King Bran of Dyfed from the Mabinogion appeared in the early days of the space arc of Arthur, King of Time and Space in a week's strips (starting here) sending up the Star Trek episode Space Seed which introduced Khan Noonien Singh, as an analog to legends which say Bran's head was buried at London to protect Britain from magical attack but Arthur dug it up saying it wasn't needed any more. Until the final AKOTAS timeskip, I'd intended to bring Bran back sending up The Wrath of Khan, killing off a major castmember in the engine room at the end same as Star Trek did, but leaving that castmember dead because I'd already done a sendup of the Genesis Project during the Grail year. |

In the legends, whether maliciously or not (in some versions Merlin's advances are not wanted), Nimue leaves Merlin trapped in a cave after learning (or stealing) the magic he knows. |
